May 30th

Bus 10: Do credit card blank, fill in the blanks. credit payments blank

What month would you pay off the debt? How much extra would you have paid in interest charges?

Make a group of up to four people and make a honest commercial for a credit card that tells the disadvantages and advantages of using credit. Commercials should be filmed and no more than 2 minutes long, no less than 1 minute.

 

May 27th

Bus 10: As an alternative to doing the Chapter 15 booklet, you may instead do the following:

Answer these 2 questions before you see the documentary:

  1. What do you know about credit cards? How do they work?
  2. How many credit cards would you think that the average person uses? Why do you think people have more than one credit card?

Put the answers on your blog under Credit card doc, you will answer other questions later.

  1. What information in the documentary most surprised you?
  2. Do you think the government should have a role in regulating both who can get credit cards and what interest and fees consumers should pay? If so, who should be the regulators? Who would benefit from such regulation? Who would lose? Explain.
  3. How, according to the four “normal consumers” in the documentary, does owning a credit card or credit cards affect purchasing decisions?
  4. Who loses and gains the most from credit card companies’ policies? Explain.
  5. Has the documentary influenced how you might use credit cards in the future? Explain.

May 6th Timelines and goals

Your group show have a preliminary business plan ready for the end of class Friday. Your product drawing should also be done or almost done. Set realistic attainable goals for yourself each day so your group will be ready on time.

Next week should be spent working on your own time in making things better.

DD timelines:

Create a worthwhile and reasonable timeline for your work as part of your DD team. Everyday post your goals for the day and note if you suceeded in meeting your goals from yesterday.

If you didn’t meet your goal, explain why.
